Taken in Harajuku. Not exactly the stereortypical harajuku girl, but I though she was rather striking.

Unfortunately, I didn't realized I'd cut off her hand until I got home.

You're right, she is very striking! I think it's how she manages to stand out without overaccessorizing or using very bright colors. I mean, I like the stereotypical harajuku look as well, but this one is definitely special in her own way. Lovely shot! <3

Actually, from what I saw, the typical harajuku person these days is a white tourist looking for cool japanese people to take pictures of... Or, in a few cases, trying to fit in as gothlolis (and failing).

We must be thinking different stereotypes then, eh? :] What I have in mind are people dressed usually in hot pink and white and black, wearing like 2312789347041748914 bracelets and hair-things and with sequins stuck on under their eyes. :XD:

I generally think of maids, gothlolis, visual kei types and japanese punk when I think of harajuku myself. I've seen the girls of which you speak though. Mostly in fruits magazine, but a few in real life. I think one or two pics of those will be showing up here eventually...
